KNIGHTS RETURN TO ACTION IN 2022

The Nepean Knights Jr C returned to the floor following a two year league wide break.  Following a very successful 2019 season, the Knights kept pushing forward and were on top of the Eastern Conference standings heading into their First Round playoff bye.  They would go on to sweep the Whitby Warriors in round 2 to setup a great battle against Clarington in the East Finals.  The young group fought hard but came up short in the series.  The Knights would like to thank all of the team’s sponsors and volunteers for their support and time this season.  We cannot be successful without you!

NEPEAN JR C INAUGURAL YEAR A SUCCESS IN 2019

In its first year of operation, Nepean’s newest junior program enters like a lion!

Beginning the season with a home opener against the zone’s top seed, the Knights put the league on notice that they are the real deal with a big upset. The program kicked off with a home town win over the North Shore Kodiaks in front of hundreds of fans. You could feel the energy, enthusiasm and program excitement from the volunteers, the minor players that participated in the warm up and the fans.

There was no doubt this program would be a welcome addition to the OLA given all the buzz, but the program continued to mature faster than anyone could have expected. By the end of the regular season, the squad not only finished first in the Far East with a 12-4 record, they also earned a first round play-off bye to face the defending Meredith Cup champs in the second round. Though the defending champs proved to be the better team, a double overtime loss once again illustrated the potential of this young Nepean program.

Capping off an amazing first year, the Knights coaching staff was voted the League Coaching Staff of the Year by all other teams. A heartfelt congratulations to our coaches – Wayne, Jason, Jamie, Pat an John.

Thanks to our GM Tanya for doing such an incredible, professional job, thanks to our players, volunteers, sponsors and fans for making year one a record year. Looking forward to what year 2 has to offer…

See you all at camp in 2022.
